Modalities of Massage and Healing Therapies

All of these modalities include Aromatherapy. Evaa combines her own blends and also uses single notes, for the client to smell during the massage for healing and enjoyment. Essential oils are incredibly powerful and therapeutic. Some of her favorite blends include JoyDeep Breath, Uplift, Harmony, Expansion, Euphoria, Revitalize, Tree Spirit, and Liver-Gallbladder.  She also sells blends and body balms.

Deep Tissue Massage

Some of the strokes are the same as those used in classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower, and the pressure is deeper, and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (connective tissue).

Thai Massage

An ancient healing system combining rhythmic compression, acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Done on a mat rather than on a massage table, with clothes on. Also called “Lazy Man’s Yoga.”

Hot Stone Therapy

The use of smooth, water-heated stones to work deeper into the muscles, and relax trigger points. The hot stones essentially become extensions of the therapist’s hands. Eases muscle stiffness, eases tension, and increases metabolism.

Lymphatic Massage

Intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back towards the heart. It uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic, circular movement to stimulate lymph flow.

Lymphatic massage is good for sinusitis, headaches, immune disorders, edema, lack of energy, sluggish immune system, sports injuries, scars, breast cancer, pregnant women, puffiness around eyes or wrinkles, after surgery or trauma, and can benefit everybody.

Lomi-Lomi Massage

Luxurious Hawaiian massage derived from the ancient Polynesians and master healers of Hawaii. It includes long strokes, stretches, and lots of oil.

Massage combined with Spiritual/Energy Healing

Using guided inner-journeying, the client can experience removal of blockages, trauma, and even past life trauma. The results can lead to feeling lighter, happier, and pain-free.
